Papier Mache is French for "chewed paper". In modern use, papier mache is not confined to using paper pulp, but also paper strips and other materials. My papier mache sculptures are created using re-purposed materials such as newspapers and flour and water paste. All natural and non-toxic. This technique has been used as long as papier mache has existed and creates a durable and environmentally friendly creation. In finishing my sculptures, non-toxic water based paints are used. I never utilize molds...each creation is original and unique.
